My name is Helen Cheung. I am a software engineer based in San Francisco, with experience in developing full stack applications utilizing React/Redux, SQL, Ruby on Rails and other languages. I have past experiences in the financial capital markets and developing business strategies for IT Start-Ups.

I love learning about new technologies and challenging myself to think logically, methodically and creatively. I strive to craft an interface that is innovative, visually appealing and intuitive for everyone.

  SVP Corporate Strategy

  •  Realigned corporate strategy by identifying the competitive strength of the new innovative tech and working with the products team to revise existing design. Actively participated in the product development pipeline to ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the firm.
  •  Re-positioned company by establishing the Mission and Values statement, target audience, and marketing channels after assessing the previous business model. The revised business model, coupled with product and strategy realignment, has led to meetings with billion-dollar private equity firms.

  Credit Analyst

  •  Designed Excel models used to assess the credit quality of counterparties compared to industry peers, collaborated with front office in structuring trades to ensure credit risk remains within bank's risk tolerance and provided recommendations to senior management and business for credit-related concerns.
  •  Reviewed existing credit software, identified deficiencies and actively participated in the improvement of credit tools to ensure risks are accurately captured, reported and mitigated.
